Marni Kottle serves as Chief Corporate Affairs Officer, leading the company’s global communications and patient advocacy teams with a singular focus: ensuring the patient perspective meaningfully shapes every aspect of BioMarin’s business. In this role, Marni is responsible for embedding the patient viewpoint into decision-making at all levels of the company – from strategy and advocacy to communications and culture.

Marni joined BioMarin in January 2023 following more than 20 years in the biopharmaceutical industry. She has built her career around elevating patient experiences, strengthening advocacy partnerships and helping organizations communicate science, progress and milestones.

Prior to joining BioMarin, Marni served as Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications and Investor Relations at Kronos Bio and was Vice President of Corporate Communications at Gilead Sciences. Marni began her career as a reporter, covering the biotech industry for Bloomberg News and the Seattle Post-Intelligencer.

She is a graduate of Stanford University, where she earned a B.A. in History and German Studies.

Marni​ is the mom of two college-aged daughters and lives in the San Francisco East Bay with her husband and dogs.
