BioMarin Pharmaceutical Inc. announced today that the second annual BioMarin/MPS "Run for Your Life" 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, October 2, 2004, at the Marin Center Lagoon Park located in San Rafael, California. Race day registration starts at 7:30 a.m. and the race begins at 9:00 a.m. All proceeds will benefit The National MPS Society, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for mucopolysaccharidoses (MPS) and mucolipidoses disorders -- rare, life- threatening genetic disorders that frequently result in death within the first to second decade of life.

5K Run/Walk registration is $15.00 in advance and $20.00 the day of the event. In addition to the 5K Run/Walk, there will be fun activities for children and post-race entertainment.
