About the Opportunity:

BioMarin’s Finance organization plays a critical role in enabling our business strategy, supporting disciplined investment decisions, and helping the company deliver on its commitment to patients. The team partners across functions and geographies to provide financial insight, planning rigor, operational accountability, and strategic decision support.

The Senior Manager, Commercial FP&A, for Iberia, UK and Ireland is a key individual contributor role responsible for revenue planning, forecasting, performance management, and decision support for the Iberia, UK and Italy businesses.

This individual will serve as the primary Finance partner to the country leaders and will help translate commercial strategy, market dynamics, and business performance into clear financial insights and actionable recommendations. The role will support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs), and ad hoc decision support for the respective countries.

This individual will also partner closely with their Commercial FP&A counterpart responsible for planning and managing OPEX for the broader region, ensuring strong alignment between revenue performance, investment priorities, and regional financial objectives.

Leadership Responsibility:

  • Serve as the primary Finance partner to the Iberia, UK and Ireland country leaders, providing financial insights, planning support, and decision support to enable business performance and strategic execution.
  • Lead revenue planning, forecasting, and performance management for Iberia, UK and Ireland, including development of assumptions, analysis of key drivers, and articulation of risks and opportunities.
  • Support the Annual Operating Plan (AOP), quarterly forecasts, Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) for the respective countries.
  • Partner with country and regional commercial teams to understand revenue drivers, market dynamics, pricing considerations, patient and demand trends, and portfolio opportunities and risks.
  • Prepare clear financial analysis, reporting, and business narratives that explain performance versus plan, forecast changes, and key business implications.
  • Provide ad hoc financial and business decision support for the countries, including scenario analysis, investment trade-offs, business cases, and leadership requests.
  • Partner closely with the Commercial FP&A peer responsible for OPEX planning and management for the broader region to ensure alignment between revenue expectations, spending plans, resource allocation, and regional priorities.
  • Drive consistency, accuracy, and rigor in revenue forecasting assumptions, financial reporting, and performance insights across their countries.
  • Operate as a proactive individual contributor who builds trusted relationships, identifies process improvements, and delivers high-quality analysis in a fast-paced, matrixed environment.

Experience Required:

  • Experience in commercial finance, FP&A, corporate finance, or related finance roles, preferably within a complex, matrixed, multinational organization.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting country or regional leadership teams as a finance business partner.
  • Strong understanding of revenue planning, forecasting, performance management, and P&L dynamics.
  • Experience supporting annual planning, quarterly forecasting, business reviews, variance analysis, and management reporting.
  • Ability to partner effectively with commercial stakeholders and finance peers to influence decisions, challenge assumptions, and communicate insights clearly.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field required; MBA, CPA, or equivalent advanced qualification preferred.
