Summary

The BioMarin Financial Development Program (FDP) is designed to accelerate your growth as a finance and business leader while providing meaningful exposure to the biotech industry. Participants gain hands-on functional experience, build leadership capabilities, and contribute to impactful work across Finance. In addition to on-the-job learning, participants benefit from coaching, specialized training, and community engagement.

The FDP is a 24-month program consisting of two 12-month rotations. Rotations may include corporate finance, R&D finance, financial reporting, accounting, audit, treasury, and operations. Upon completion of the program, participants will be well positioned to advance their careers within Finance and across the broader organization.

Required Skills

• Motivated, organized and highly skilled with today’s systems, applications, and platforms (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)
• Independent worker and initiative-taker who enjoys problem solving and takes pride and accountability in their work product
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong time management skills with the ability to manage various tasks, priorities, and timelines and adapt quickly to changing priorities
• Demonstrated leadership through academic, professional, volunteer, or extracurricular experiences, including taking ownership, influencing others, collaborating across teams, and delivering results with accountability
• Curiosity, learning agility, and enthusiasm for building a career in Finance

Desired Skills

• Complex Excel modeling skills
• PowerPoint visualization skills
• Familiarity with Copilot or other AI tools

Qualifications/Eligibility

• Undergraduate degree in Finance or Accounting
• Cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
• 0-2 years work experience
• Located in the San Francisco, CA, Bay Area, or willingness to relocate
• Must be available to work full-time, 40 hours a week

The salary range for this position is: $67,200 to $92000. BioMarin considers a variety of factors when determining base compensation, including experience, qualifications, and geographic location. These considerations mean actual compensation will vary. This position may also be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus, discretionary stock-based long-term incentives (eligibility may vary based on role), paid time off, and a benefits package. Benefits include company-sponsored medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans.
