Timothy P. Walbert joined BioMarin’s Board in February 2025. Mr. Walbert currently serves as Managing Partner of HRZN Partners LLC, a Senior Advisor to Amgen and a Senior Advisor to Patient Square Capital. Most recently, he was Chairman, President, and Chief Executive Officer of Horizon Therapeutics until its acquisition by Amgen in 2023. Earlier, he led IDM Pharma Inc. through its acquisition by Takeda and held senior roles at Abbott (now AbbVie), where he led the global launch of HUMIRA, as well as at G.D. Searle & Company, Merck & Co. and Wyeth.

Mr. Walbert currently serves on the boards of Latigo Biotherapeutics (Chairman), Mirum Pharmaceuticals, Odyssey Therapeutics and Kardigan, Inc, each of which are public companies. Additionally, he serves on the boards of Catalent, Crystalys Therapeutics (Chairman) and Apollo Therapeutics (Chairman), which are privately held companies. His prior board experience includes Aurinia Pharmaceuticals, Exicure (Chairman), Assertio (Chairman), Raptor Pharmaceutical Corp., Century Therapeutics, Sagimet Biosciences, Cour Therapeutics, XOMA Corporation and Sucampo Pharmaceuticals.
